Seleni's September Scholarship Recipients in honor of World Gratitude Day

September 2021 – New York, NY - In honor of World Gratitude Day this month, Seleni is pleased to announce the September recipients for its Scholarship for Maternal Mental Health Professionals for 2021.

World Gratitude day is an opportunity to show appreciation for others. Gratitude can heal and change lives. At Seleni, we are thankful for all mental health professionals who dedicate their lives to helping individuals and families in need of mental health support.

This month’s recipients share their experiences working with underserved communities and how they will use what they learn from the scholarship training:

“[This training will benefit the community I serve by] significantly improving opportunities to healing generations. Our birthing folks are creators of community. When they are well and supported, communities become healthier and stronger.”

- Vernette Kountz

“[This training will allow me to] provide my clients within the community I serve with more knowledge.“

- Makaila Davis

We welcome all mental health professionals (social workers, doulas, midwives, nurses, lactation consultants, students, etc.) working in underserved communities to apply for future rounds: APPLY HERE.
