Nitzia Logothetis, MSc, MA, LMHC, is a licensed psychotherapist and the Founder and Executive Director of Seleni Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing care, research, professional training, and information central to maternal and reproductive mental health. Mrs. Logothetis is driven by a fundamental belief that mental health is as valuable as physical health, and that every person has the potential to succeed when supported.
Sara Laufer is a licensed CPA with extensive experience in both public and private accounting. She has been part of Seleni since we opened our doors in 2013 and works closely within the organization to maintain accurate financials, manage budgets and fiscal goals, and oversee the operations of our organization. Prior to joining Seleni, she spent nine years working for a large broadcasting company managing the budgeting and forecasting as well as economic strategy.
Rebecca Benghiat brings over 20 years of executive administrative experience to Seleni, with deep expertise on the intersection of health policy, regulatory law, women’s issues, and mental health on both a community and national level.

Dr. Chrousos is Professor and Chairman of the First Department of Pediatrics at the University of Athens School of Medicine, Athens, Greece, and former Chief of the Pediatric and Reproductive Endocrinology Branch of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Chrousos holds the UNESCO Chair on Adolescent Health Care and held the 2011 Distinguished John Kluge Chair on Society and Technology of the US Library of Congress.

Lauren Feit, MD, is an ob-gyn with a private practice on New York City's Upper East Side. Originally from Brooklyn, Dr. Feit received her undergraduate degree from Barnard College in 1997, where she graduated cum laude with a degree in American history. Dr. Feit went on to graduate from New York Medical College in 2001 with a medical degree. In 2005, Dr. Feit completed her training in obstetrics and gynecology at the New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell School of Medicine.
Karen Kleiman is a well-known international expert on postpartum depression. Her work has been featured on the Web and within the mental health community for decades. In 1988, Ms. Kleiman founded The Postpartum Stress Center, a treatment and training facility where she treats individuals and couples experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, including postpartum depression. More recently, she founded The Postpartum Stress & Family Wellness Center in New Jersey.
Dr. Phyllis Magrab, Professor of Pediatrics, is a well-known pediatric psychologist and director of the Georgetown University Center for Child and Human Development (GUCCHD). This component of the pediatrics department brings together policy, research, and clinical practice for the betterment of children, youth and their families, especially those with special needs.
Ellen Manos, MD, has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology on the Upper East Side of Manhattan for more than two decades. She is a senior attending physician at Lenox Hill Hospital, where her interests include laparoscopic surgery, adolescent medicine, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy and, of course, the everlasting joys of obstetrics, both low and high risk.
Sean Mayberry is a former diplomat and social marketer who believes there are simple and cost-effective interventions which can improve mental health, an area that is often overlooked when addressing poverty in the developing world.
Dr. Catherine Monk is a Professor of Medical Psychology in the Departments of Psychiatry and Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University, where she is also Director of Research at the Women's Program, and a Research Scientist VI at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. Dr. Monk earned her PhD in clinical psychology at the City University of New York. She spends the majority of her time doing research and also sees patients experiencing perinatal depression, anxiety, or other emotional challenges related to pregnancy and parenting.
George Mussalli, MD, has extensive experience in both hands-on daily care and administrative medicine and is cofounder of Village Obstetrics, New York's premier minimally invasive obstetric practice. He completed his subspecialty training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and is board certified in maternal-fetal medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. A father of four, Dr. Mussalli understands the joys and heartaches of parenthood from both sides of the white coat.
Jaqueline Worth, MD, trained at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her residency at Lenox Hill where she quickly built her reputation as a talented and dedicated obstetrician. She cofounded the minimally invasive obstetric practice, Village Obstetrics, in 2008 with Dr. Mussalli. Her passion is helping moms and dads feel empowered and connected on the exciting, but challenging, road to parenthood.
